Our veterans served us – it’s time we served them.
I’m working to ensure our local heroes can access the benefits they’ve earned. I’ve been fighting to bring a VA clinic back to Lewis County, and I introduced bipartisan legislation to expand transportation to health care appointments for rural veterans, expand mental health care and peer support for veterans’ families, and make it easier for them to become EMTs after they’ve served.
I also co-led the bipartisan VET MEDS Act to support access to VA-certified specialists in rural communities – which was signed into law as part of a Senate package.
But one of the most direct ways I can serve you is by cutting through red tape to get results for you from federal agencies like the VA.
A little over one year in, my office has brought over $1.8 million back home to more than 1,393 constituents, whether it’s from benefits owed to our local heroes, Social Security checks, or tax refunds.
We’re not stopping there, so if you need assistance with the federal government, please reach out to my office below so we can advocate for you.
Sincerely,
Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez
