Fighting for Lower Costs

Working families are being stretched too thin, so lowering costs has been a priority of mine in Congress.

As a freshman lawmaker, I’ve hit the ground running on bipartisan legislation to help lower costs for regular folks.

As a rural mom working the trades before coming to Congress, I experienced the challenges of accessing quality, affordable childcare. Along with my bipartisan colleagues, I introduced a bill that would improve the cost, availability, and quality of childcare in agricultural and rural communities.

I also introduced legislation to support patients’ access to lower-priced generic prescription drugs, address deceptive food packaging practices, and to index the federal minimum wage to a regional cost of living standard.
