Gluesenkamp Perez Announces 2025 Congressional Art Competition Winner
Today, Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03) announced Mia Johnson of Kelso High School as the winner of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition.
Mia’s colored pencil and watercolor piece, “Peachy Keen,” will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year and on the Congressional Art Competition website.
In Second Place was Nate Anderson from the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics. Tori Rehwaldt from Skyview High School took home Third Place. Both were oil paintings.
“Mia’s artwork captures the importance of joy and connection – and celebrates our community’s love for local fresh fruit and agriculture,” said Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez. “Congrats to Mia for her winning piece, as well as to all the other talented young artists across Southwest Washington who contributed to the competition.”
