WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03) announced she will be hosting a Veterans Career and Resource Fair at the Clark College Veterans Center of Excellence (VCOE).

The event will take place on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Clark College’s Gaiser Hall, located at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver, WA 98663.

At the fair, Southwest Washington veterans and their families will be able to meet with local organizations and employers, learn about employment opportunities, and get support with veterans’ benefits. Veterans are encouraged to bring a copy of their DD214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty).

Veterans service organizations and employers who would like to request a table at the event may do so through this online form.

“It’s our responsibility to ensure our nation’s heroes are well-supported after returning home,” said Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez. “The Veterans Career and Resource Fair will help ensure our Southwest Washington veterans and their families can access the resources, jobs, and benefits they deserve. I’m grateful for the support of Clark College, as well as for all the community organizations who will be able to join us in supporting our local heroes.”

Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez’s team always stands ready to support Southwest Washington veterans who need help with a federal agency. Those in need of immediate assistance are encouraged to reach out online, by phone, or in person.

“We are grateful for the collaborative effort with Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez and the community organizations,” said Donna Larson, Clark College VCOE’s Associate Director. “This Career and Resource Fair is a valuable opportunity for our Southwest Washington veterans and their families to connect with local organizations and employers, explore employment options, and receive essential support for veterans’ benefits.”

The Clark College Veterans Center of Excellence coordinates comprehensive support services for veteran students. These services address academic, financial, physical, and social needs for student veterans and include: math, science, and English tutors, textbook and calculator loans, textbook purchase, quiet study space, a computer lab with printers, practical workshops, break areas, and more.
