Today, Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03) announced that she was selected to serve on the House Committee on Small Business for the 118th Congress.

The House Committee on Small Business oversees the Small Business Administration and considers legislation to support and strengthen America’s small businesses.

“Before I came to Congress, my husband and I founded a small, independent auto repair and machine shop. We bought our building with the help of an SBA loan, but it wasn’t easy. It took a full year of work to apply for and secure that loan – and that’s time and resources that a lot of entrepreneurs just don’t have,” said Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez. “As a member of the Small Business Committee, I’ll work to make the SBA loan process easier, cut red tape, and support entrepreneurs to help small businesses and our economy thrive.”

Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez announced yesterday that she will also serve on the House Committee on Agriculture.
