Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez Statement on Iran War Powers Act

WASHINGTON D.C. — Tonight, Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03) issued the following statement following the House vote on H. Con Res. 38:

“The world is a safer place without Ayatollah Khameinei and I fully support our troops’ mission of taking out one of the top state sponsors of terrorism. As a member of Congress, my duty is to ensure that prolonged military action is durable and strategic – right now the administration has not provided sufficient information for me to feel confident in endorsing this vague and haphazard plan.”
