Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez Statement on the Iran War Powers Resolution

“Let me set the record straight: yesterday I voted against Trump’s $73 billion slush fund for the Iran war, and just now I just voted to end the war—my fifth vote to end the war since March. I do not support this war. It doesn’t make America more secure or prosperous and it isn’t a strategy for durable peace.” Said Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez, “That said, blocking service member raises and weakening our domestic manufacturing base also won’t make the US secure or prosperous. I stand with my constituents in opposition to this war, and in support of the long term strength of our military, and stability of our great nation.”
