Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez Statement on the NDAA

“Last night, I voted Yes on the final passage of the National Defense Authorization Act. This legislation provides a meaningful raise for servicemembers, strengthens and invests in our domestic manufacturing base for national security, and includes provisions to support the Right to Repair–the issue that inspired me to run for congress in the first place.” Said Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez, “Unfortunately, House Republicans used a procedural move that will add provisions from the partisan Save America act to the NDAA when the it goes to the Senate. Senate Republicans have made it clear there is no path forward for Save America in the Senate. Abandoning the many wins in the NDAA over a dead-on-arrival attached provision would be a pyrrhic victory. Moving forward I’m working to support my colleagues in the senate to strip out the culture war distractions and focus on advancing a defense bill that makes America stronger, more secure and more prosperous”
